May 27th

We're planting flowers in the yard, and Shane was my helper for approximately 8-10 minutes at a time, or whenever water was involved. His personal flower is the orange one near the 9. Orange is his "most favorite" color.

Thursday May 25th

Shane's PIKE class at the YMCA. He is still swimming upright, but actually enjoys the class now. He will be taking lessons throughout the summer and fall/winter to get ready for his first trip to the ocean ( Auntie Nicol or Uncle Mikey will have to swim with him because his mommy does NOT go in the ocean past her knees:)

Free time at swimming, He makes sure he has enough floatation devices on!

May 20, 2006

Here is Shane going through the motions of his first time bowling. He attended a birthday party. It was absolutely the funniest thing I have witnessed in a long time. They put up these bumper pads so the kids don't get gutter balls. Shane watched what the other kids did, and then ran as fast as he could with the ball and threw it, yes THREW it so it acutally bounced on the lane, then throws his hands up in celebration. He threw the ball so hard one time he forgot to let go and fell into the lane, and another time threw it so it bounced over the bumper pad into the gutter in the next lane. Of course I had to crawl out there to get it, Thank goodness no one took a picture of that!

The Big Girl having a little snack.

Shane and Daddy practicing casting with his new Batman ( what else!) fishing pole. He does very well for a 4 year old.

Soccer May 3 2006

Our little soccer player! He tries really hard!
His team name---the Wild Koalas
We are trying to teach him that you actually do not have to wait your turn for the ball in soccer, that you are actually supposed to try to kick it away from the other person. He just runs around after the others, waiting for his turn!

Swimming Lessons April 2006

This is Shane BEFORE the class started. He was excited and happy, however once the teacher came and he had to get in the water he screamed ( and I mean screamed) and cried begging me to come get him for the first 20 minutes of the 30 minute class.........then.............................

he was perfectly fine and enjoyed himself.

Shane has the arm bands on.

GOOFY

No idea why he put his night time pull up on his head but it was hilarious!

Remodeling Project

We're painting our dining room and making shelves in our pantry. I am absolutely NOT meechanically inclined in any way including painting, however Shane does it all along with Grandma D and Papa Phil!

The Quad

Learning slowly on his quad. He has a bad habit of looking other places instead of where he is driving. Chris gets a work out running along side him.

Notice his pants, that's all. A future plumber?

Shining my suede clogs with Daddy's army boot polish and water!
Hanging out with Evie. She is such a GOOD dog!

Just for Fun!

Of course he has a SHARK for a bath toy! He is pretending it's chasing me. For those of you who don't know I have a little fear of sharks and the ocean.

This is our cat Lucky, and no she was NOT happy. Shane just loves her.
Shane and Mommy showing off their pink socks ( Daddy just loved that one!)

Easter Morning at Grandma D's

Yes that is me trying to hoola hoop!. Old age and having a baby.....not the same as when I was young. :)

Handsome boy!

Easter Sunday 4-16-06

What a sly look on his face! Wonder what he is thinking?
The Easter Bunny hid eggs inside ( out of reach of Evie of course) and outside.

Easter Events April 14-15 2006

Easter weekend involved a flurry of activity for the Lisk's. Friday night 24 eggs were dyed some numerous times because Shane did not want to stop when all the eggs were colored the first time. On Saturday we took him to an egg hunt at the Celery Flats. He loved it and ran right in there with all the other kids.

Batman Phase

Welcome to Shaner's Batman Phase. He wears this EVERYWHERE,
including in the car driving down the highway with the window down. He waves at the trucks and cars who honk at him, and he gets so excited because he believes they really think he is Batman.
Batman runs around our front yard, poses in the hallway, swings, and eats cookies on his Batman couch in his Batman PJ's.
