Halloween 2006

How cute are my boys! Carving pumpkins, INSIDE, because it was too cold and rainy outside. What a mess!

Notice Chris's sculptured pumpkin in the front, Shane's hammering in a bat outline, and my regular, normal everyday triangle eyes and smiley face pumpkin. I am NOT the talented one in the group.

Watch out its a TIGER! Thanks to Grandma D for making my costume! If only you all could hear the ROAR he practiced for weeks!

Our little tiger! This was after the trip to the ER, he is on morphine here...can you tell? The ER doc said he could go out to a couple houses as long as there was no running or jumping. What a way to spend Halloween!

Evie on the loose!

Is it a bear? Oh no, its just THE BIG GIRL running lose!

Tonsils and Adneoids 10-26-06

Pre-Op. Shane has had the "cocktail" to help relax him, and apparently by the look on my face I needed one also :)

HOLY COW! Look at those +3 tonsils. Now that they are gone you can actually see the back of his mouth.

Post Op at home. Still drugged up and very queasy. Thursday wasn't bad at all, however the next 6 days were terrible, including a post op hemmorahge that resulted in an ER trip.

Cabela's Dundee Michigan

Shane, Chris, and I spent an entire day (ok like 5 hours at the store and 4 hours of driving) at Cabela's in Dundee, Michigan. For those of you who are not hunters or outdoorsy folks, this is a HUGE store that has anything and everything you could need for hunting, fishing, camping, etc. Oh yeah and lots of "stuffed animals" for your viewing pleasure.

Shane is Chris's dream come true as far as being a mini me Chris in terms of his passion ( yes a passion at age 5) for hunting, fishing and being in the woods. ( I honest to goodness wouldn't know this child was mine if I hadn't given birth to him, doesn't look like me or act like me :)

Shane was overwhelmed with all of the things to look at and take in. He came home with his first Mossy Oak hunting outfit, a plastic bow with nerf balls to practice, and his first blaze orange vest for gun season! My nerves are already a mess!
